Description:
Evergreen shrub or small tree which can grow up to 6-7 feet. The flowers are tubular with five lobes. It is commonly cultivated for its sweet-smelling flowers which have medicinal uses, and ommonly known as Nerium or oleander, from its superficial resemblance to the unrelated olive Olea.
Although the shrubs are drought-tolerant, they look their best when they are watered during dry spells. However, take care not to overwater them. Yellowing leaves indicate that the plant is getting too much water. If the soil is poor, feed the plant lightly with a balanced fertilizer during its first spring.
